Tirana International Airport N\u00ebn\u00eb Tereza is the only airport in Tirana, the capital city of Albania. It is located approximately 17 km from the city center and is named after Mother Teresa, the Catholic nun, and Nobel Peace Prize winner who is Albanian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airport has undergone significant renovations in recent years, including the construction of a new terminal building, expanded runway, and taxiway systems, and upgraded air traffic control equipment. It now has the capacity to handle up to 5 million passengers per year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
