A. Data We Collect

VrapOn Driver collects data:

* provided by users to VrapOn Driver, such as during account creation
* generated while using our services, such as location, app usage, and device data
* from other sources, such as other users or account owners, business partners, vendors, and government authorities

For your convenience, we have provided a visual overview of the data we collect and how we use it here.
VrapOn Driver collects the following data:

1. Data provided by users. This includes:

* User profile information:
We collect data when users create or update their VrapOn Driver accounts.
This may include their name, email, phone number, username and password, address, and profile picture.

* Demographic data:
We may collect demographic data about users, such as date/age, and gender when requested for certain VrapOn Driver services or programs.
We may also derive demographic data from other data collected from users.
For example, we may infer a user’s gender based on their name to enable security features such as displaying personalized advertisements for third-party products or services.

We may also collect demographic data through user surveys.
2. Data generated while using our services. This includes:

* Location data (driver and order taker):
We collect exact or approximate location data from mobile devices of drivers and order takers when the VrapOn Driver app is running in the foreground (app open and on-screen) or background (app open but not on screen ).

We collect users’ location data to enable travel, for user support, for security and fraud detection purposes, and to comply with legal requirements. We collect location information (including GPS coordinates and WiFi data) based on your app settings, and device permissions (where applicable).

VrapOn Driver collects such data from the time an order is requested until it is completed, and each time the application runs in the foreground (app open and on-screen). We collect the exact location of your device when the App is running in the foreground (App open and on-screen) and when the App is running in the background (App open but not on screen). We may also collect your exact location for a limited time after you exit the App in order to detect and investigate travel incidents.

See “Choice and Transparency” below for information on how drivers and order takers can enable accurate location data collection.

The app uses location data in the background to provide you with accurate information about taxi requests, customer locations, and traffic conditions. By using the app, you agree to allow VrapOn Driver to collect and use your location data in the background.

Drivers can use the VrapOn Driver apps without enabling the collection of location data from their mobile devices.

However, this may affect some features in the VrapOn Driver application. For example, a user who has not enabled accurate location data will have to manually enter his/her address.

In addition, precise location data collected by a user’s device during a trip is associated with the user’s account, even if the user has not enabled the collection of precise location data from their device.

VrapOn Driver collects location data to identify the fastest route with less traffic thus improving customer service, also to determine which of the drivers is closest to the customer’s request. This data will also be collected when the application is closed or not in use.

* Transaction information:
We collect transaction information related to the use of our services, including the type of services requested or provided; trip or order details (such as date and time, addresses requested, distance traveled and items ordered) and payment transaction information (such as a customer’s name and location, amount charged and payment method).

We also associate a user’s name with that of anyone who uses their promo code.

* Usage data:
We collect data about how users interact with our services. This includes dates and times of access, app features or pages viewed, browser type, and app interruptions, and other system activity.

* Device data:
We collect data about the devices used to access our services, including hardware models, device IP addresses or other unique device identifiers, operating systems and versions, software, preferred languages, advertising identifiers, data on device movement, and mobile network data.

3. Data from other sources. This includes:

* VrapOn Driver business partners through which users create or access their VrapOn Driver account, such as payment providers, social media services or applications, or websites that use VrapOn Driver’s APIs or whose APIs VrapOn Driver uses.

* partner companies (for drivers or delivery people who use our services through an account associated with such a company).

* Publicly available resources.
* marketing service providers whose data VrapOn Driver uses for marketing or research.
* Law enforcement officials, public health officials, and other government authorities.

B. How We Use Personal Data

VrapOn Driver uses data to enable reliable and convenient transportation, delivery, and other services. We also use such data:

* to enhance the security and quality of our users and services
* for customer support
* for research and development
* for marketing and advertising
* to send non-marketing communications to users

For your convenience, we have provided a visual overview of the data we collect and how we use it here.

We use the data we collect:

1. To provide our services. VrapOn Driver uses data to provide, customize, maintain and improve our services.
This includes using data to:

* account creation/updating.
* enable shipping, delivery, and other services/functions, such as
* using users’ location data to calculate ETAs and track the progress of trips or deliveries.
* matching available drivers with users requesting the service. Users can be matched based on availability, location/proximity, user settings/preferences, and other factors.

VrapOn Driver performs the above activities on the grounds that they are necessary to fulfill the terms of our user agreements, are compatible with such uses, or the grounds that they are necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests of VrapOn Driver and users.

2. Research and development. We use data for testing, research, analysis, and product development to improve user experience. This helps us make our services more convenient and easy to use, increase the security and quality of our services, and develop new services and features.

VrapOn Driver performs the above activities on the grounds that they are necessary for the purposes of VrapOn Driver’s legitimate interests in improving and developing new services and features.

3. Marketing and Advertising.
VrapOn Driver uses data to market its services and those of VrapOn Driver’s partners. This may include:
   * Sending emails, text messages, notifications, and in-app messages or other marketing or advertising communications of VrapOn Driver products, services, features, offers, promotions, and events.
     This may include using location, travel and order history, and usage data to send marketing communications that are personalized based on the observed or inferred interests and characteristics of users.

   * Display of VrapOn Driver advertisements on third-party applications or websites. This includes using location, travel and order history, and usage data, as well as sharing encountered email addresses and device or user identifiers with advertising partners, to tailor such advertisements to user interests.

  * Measuring the effectiveness of VrapOn Driver advertisements and third-party advertisements displayed on the VrapOn Driver application or in connection with our services.

VrapOn Driver performs the above activities on the grounds that they are necessary for the purposes of VrapOn Driver’s legitimate interests to inform users about the services and features of VrapOn Driver or those provided by VrapOn Driver’s partners. See the sections titled “Choice and Transparency” and “Marketing and Advertising Choices” for information on your choices about how VrapOn Driver may use your data for marketing and advertising.

C. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Some of VrapOn Driver’s services and features require us to share data with other users or at the request of a user. We may also share such data with our partners for legal reasons or in connection with claims or disputes.
VrapOn Driver may share data:

1. With other users
This includes sharing:
Name, rating, and locations of drivers. We may also share ratings and reviews, or other information to the extent required by law, with partners, and for driver movements, with the other person.

2. At the user’s request
This includes sharing data with:
Other people at the user’s request. This may include, for example, other services, platforms, applications or websites that integrate with our APIs; vehicle suppliers or services; those with an API or service with which we integrate; dealers or other business partners of VrapOn Driver.

3. With VrapOn Driver service providers and business partners
This includes:
Google, in connection with the use of Google Maps in VrapOn Driver applications (see Google’s privacy policy for information on the collection and use of data by them), marketing partners and providers of marketing platforms, including the services of social media advertising, ad networks, third-party data providers and other service providers to better reach or understand our users and measure advertising effectiveness

4. For legal reasons or in case of dispute
VrapOn Driver may share user data if we believe it is required by law, regulation, license or operating agreement, legal process or governmental request, or when disclosure is otherwise appropriate due to security or similar concerns.

This includes sharing data with law enforcement officials, public health officials, other government authorities, airports (if required by airport authorities as a condition of operating on airport property) or other third parties as necessary to enforce our Terms of Service, user agreements, or other policies; to protect the rights or property of VrapOn Driver or the rights, safety or property of others; or in the event of a claim or dispute relating to the use of our services.

5. With consent and approval
VrapOn may share a user’s data other than as described in this notice if we notify the user and the user consents to the sharing.

D. Data Storage and Deletion

VrapOn Driver stores user data for as long as necessary for the purposes described above, including providing its services and complying with legal obligations.

VrapOn Driver stores user data for as long as is necessary for the purposes described above. The period for which we store user data is determined by the type of data, the category of user to whom the data relates, and the purposes for which we collected the data.

The duration for which VrapOn Driver retains user data may be further determined by legal and regulatory requirements, security, safety, and fraud prevention purposes, or by matters related to the user’s account, such as an unresolved dispute.

Users may request deletion of their accounts at any time. VrapOn Driver may retain user data following a request for deletion due to legal or regulatory requirements or for reasons set forth in this policy.

Users can request deletion of their account at any time through the Settings > Privacy menu in the VrapOn Driver app.

Following an account deletion request, VrapOn Driver deletes the account and user data, unless it is required to be retained due to legal or regulatory requirements, for safety, security and fraud prevention purposes, or due to a problem related to the user account such as an unresolved claim or dispute. Because we are subject to legal and regulatory requirements with respect to delivery drivers and persons, this generally means that we retain their account and data for the applicable legal retention period following a deletion request. For order leaders and recipients, their data is usually deleted within 90 days of a deletion request, unless retention is necessary for the above reasons.
